Project Description

The Sheikha Salama Grand Mosque stands as an iconic, contemporary interpretation of traditional Arabian architecture, harmoniously blending modernity with cultural heritage in the unique landscape of Al Ain. Designed across two floors, the mosque accommodates up to 4,800 worshipers, including a dedicated female prayer hall for 700, as well as essential support services and underground parking facilities. Inspired by the interplay of light and shadow, the design accentuates the relationship between the interior and exterior spaces, creating a serene ambiance that resonates with the principles of Islam—light, purity, and tranquility. Symbolizing Islam’s essence, the mosque emerges as a profound manifestation of spiritual expression, embodying the timeless values and teachings of the faith.
