Company History Timeline

1960

- Foundation: The business is founded and begins operating in the field of engineering.

1974

- Expansion in Dubai: Jafar Tukan begins operating in Dubai, UAE, and will later become a partner of CCG.

1984

- Establishment of Jafar Tukan Library: The Jafar Tukan Library is established as a regional reference center, to inspire professionals and future innovators in architecture, design, and engineering. The library will later be located at CCG’s headquarters in Amman.

1993

- Reconstruction and Unification: The company is reconstructed by uniting some of Jordan's leading consultancy firms, Al-Maktab Al-Arabi, Masar Engineering, and ROID. A number of outstanding individuals in the industry join as partners, including Sa'id Abujaber (Rukn Al Handaseh), and the headquarters in Amman, Jordan is opened.

1995

- New Partnership: Balbissi and Dabbas for Engineering joins the CCG family.

1998

- Royal Recognition: CCG receives the Award of Excellence from the late King Hussein of Jordan and the Al Hussein Medal for the design and supervision of the construction of Karameh Dam.

1999

- Architectural Excellence: Architect Jafar Tukan, who will later join CCG as a partner, receives the Palestine Award for Architecture from the Organization of the Arab Cities. CCG receives the Award of Merit from the Association of Consulting Engineers New Zealand (ACENZ) for the design and construction supervision of Wadi Hadada Tunnel in Amman.

- Expansion to Abu Dhabi: CCG's Abu Dhabi office opens.

2001

- International Recognition: Architect Jafar Tukan is awarded the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the World Habitat Award for his work on the SOS Village project.

2002

- City Hall Project Award: CCG receives an award from the Organization of Arab Cities for the Amman City Hall project.

2003

- Major Merger: The prestigious architecture consulting firm Jafar Tukan and Partners, which had led the development of architecture in Jordan for three decades, merges with CCG, becoming one of the leading complete architectural and engineering service providers in the region.

- Best Consultancy in Roads: The Jordanian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) honors CCG as the "Best Consultancy" in the field of Roads.

2004

- ACEC Award: CCG receives the ACEC Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies for the Aqaba Industrial Zone project.

- WAEDAT Initiative: WAEDAT is established, CCG's non-profit initiative to help women in the region access more opportunities to empower them and help them realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

2007

- Environmental Protection Award: The Jordanian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) honors CCG with the award of "Best Consultancy" in the field of Environmental Protection for their work on the DISI Water Conveyance System Project.

2009

- National Library Project Award: The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) presents CCG with the award of "Best Executed Project" in the areas of engineering consultancy and contracting for the National Library project.

- Expansion to Erbil: CCG opens its office in Erbil, Kurdistan Region.

2010

- Expansion to Riyadh: CCG opens its office in Riyadh, KSA.

2011

- LEED Silver Certification: CCG is the first in Jordan to achieve LEED silver certification, for the Netherlands Embassy project in Jordan. This project also wins CCG the award for Best Consultancy from the Jordanian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH).

- International Ranking: CCG is ranked for the first time by the Engineering News-Record (ENR) as one of the Top 225 International Design Firms. CCG also receives the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence for the Private Sector and opens its office in Baghdad, Iraq.

2012

- International Property Award: CCG receives an award from the International Property Awards Arabia for Best Mixed-Use Development in Saudi Arabia for the Samaya Project by CAYAN.

2013

- Expansion to Delhi: CCG opens its office in Delhi, India.

2014

- Best Specialized Engineering Consultancy: CCG receives an award from the Jordanian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) for "Best Consultancy" in the field of Specialized Engineering for the National Library project.

2015

- Arabian Property Awards: At the Arabian Property Awards CCG wins the Highly Commended Award for DAMAC Tower, and the Highly Commended Award for CAYAN CMC.

2016

- Public Architecture Award: CCG is awarded with 5 Stars by the Arabian Property Awards for 'Best Public Architecture' for the Mahmoud Darwish Memorial.

- Blue Scarf Campaign: CCG launches its Blue Scarf Campaign to provide basic necessities and donations to help those in need.

- Expansion to Mauritania: The office in Nouakchott, Mauritania is opened.

2018

- EFQM Excellence Award: CCG receives the Honorary Shield from His Majesty King Abdullah II for achieving the EFQM Recognized for Excellence (R4E) award with 4-star recognition. CCG is the third organization worldwide in the field of engineering services, and the first Jordanian organization to receive this accreditation.

- Leadership in Arab Women Engineers: CCG's Engineer Hanan Badi Awwad becomes the Head of the Arab Women Engineers Committee.

2021

- Global Presence: Today CCG employs over 600 people and operates in 25 countries worldwide.

2022

- Expansion and New Projects: CCG expanded its operations to include several new projects across the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on sustainable and innovative architectural designs.

- Awards and Recognitions: CCG received multiple industry awards, including the "Best Sustainable Architecture Firm" from the Green Building Council.

- Community Engagement: Launched the "Future Builders" initiative, aimed at mentoring and supporting young architects and engineers through scholarships and internships.

2023

- Technological Advancements: Introduced advanced BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology in all major projects, enhancing project efficiency and collaboration.

- Global Presence Expansion: Opened new offices in London and Singapore, strengthening CCG's global presence and reaching new international markets.

- Corporate Social Responsibility Expansion: Expanded the Blue Scarf Campaign to include educational programs for underprivileged communities, focusing on environmental awareness and sustainability.

2024 (Present)

- Sustainability Leadership: CCG is recognized as a leader in sustainable architecture, with multiple projects achieving LEED Platinum certification.
