Project Description

The Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Intersection project is a significant infrastructure development aimed at enhancing transportation efficiency and connectivity across Amman, Jordan. Spanning from 2007 to 2010, the project involved the construction of a complex 4-level interchange to facilitate smooth traffic flow between various areas of the city, including the airport highway and the Dead Sea Highway.

Key components of the project included the design and construction of bridges, underpasses, ramps, loops, roundabouts, and new streets. Additionally, drainage structures, retaining walls, road furniture, and lighting systems were integrated to ensure safety and functionality. Approximately 1.9 kilometers of surrounding roads and 3 kilometers of service roads were redesigned to optimize traffic management and reduce congestion in major thoroughfares, thereby improving overall travel time and urban mobility.
